Position Description

Join us at Volvo Group Digital & IT to reveal your IT talent!   We are now looking for a Junior Java Developer.
You will be working in one of the teams within the SPIS delivery that works with existing and new applications that provides parts, service, and repair information to the workshops worldwide. We work close with the Volvo Group Truck brands and Volvo buses.

Your mission

• Java developer in the Beests team
• Develop and implement new features
• Handle incoming bugs

Must have

• Academic degree within IT/system science/ data science or equivalent
• Good knowledge in Java
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles

Experience of working with:

• Spring framework
• Hibernate
• REST Services development
• Microservices development using Spring
• Extensive knowledge of SQL
• Familiarity with application servers like JBoss
• Very good knowledge in English in speech and writing.
• Focus on continuous code improvements to optimize performance

Nice to have:

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Self-motivated, can work independently and as part of the team
• Familiar with the Agile way of working
• Azure DevOps experience
• Good communication skills and resilience
• Customer-oriented
• Proactive problem solver
