Summary
The IT company Andersen invites an experienced person to fill the position of Frontend Developer (React Native) to work on a large-scale project for the USA customer.
The customer is a company dedicated to revolutionizing fleet management through innovative solutions. It offers fully staffed, secure, and gated Mobility Hubs that support fleets with comprehensive life cycle managed services. The companys nationwide network of hubs and technology-driven solutions ensure real-time visibility and control over fleet data, making fleet management more efficient and effective.
The project is a mobile application for car renter service/carsharing app based on React Native technology.
Technology stack: React Native, JavaScript, Jest, NUnit, ESlint, Redux, Git.
Responsibilities
- Creating, rewriting a new project, moving all the code from legacy React Native version and migrating it latest.
- Adding unit tests for utility functions, increasing test coverage.
- Removing async-storage to not keep FCM tokens.
- Installing react-native-mmkv package and migrating FCM tokens.
- Gradually updating project dependencies.
- Migrating the usage of camera APIs and refreshing the usage.
- Creating a proxy layer to work with selected packages and introducing a generic interface to the project which can later be used to access the local database.
- Changing result handling and introducing better error handling.
- Adding a custom ErrorBoundary.
- Removing unused fonts and migrating all inline styles to separate StyleSheet objects.
Requirements
- Experience with React Native for 3+ years.
- Experience with microservice architecture.
- Knowledge of Jest.
- Ability to work independently and deal with the customer side directly.
- Good communication skills.
- Level of English from Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Experience in Application refactoring/rewriting and migration.
- Experience with Automotive/eCommerce domain.
